Brad Young is....

a furniture designer/maker, people oriented person, and a cereal enthusiast.

His capstone is in partnership with a Cincinnati non-profit called New Life Furniture Bank. He is designing a line of furniture that is easy to construct, cost effective, and transportable. The furniture will be made by volunteer groups at New Life and will then be delivered to families in the city who are overcoming poverty, have moved into an apartment, and have little to no personal belongings. The goal of the capstone is to equip New Life Furniture Bank with the furniture pieces that they need to better meet the needs of the impoverished community in Cincinnati.

He has worked at Packaging Corporation of America, DAAP Build Lab, Bald Mountain Rustics, The Live Well Collaborative, and Rookwood Pottery.

"People > Products. I may be a product designer, but I don't want to simply design products that have no real meaning. I am passionate about the city of Cincinnati and the people that live here. Whether through my designs or through my actions I seek to help meet the needs of those around me in a practical and intentional way."
